(VOVworld) – The 8^th Congress of Hau Giang’s Buddhist Sangha opened in Vi Thanh City today. Through solidarity and creativity, the provincial Buddhist Sangha has mobilized monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers to contribute 744,000 USD in housing and road projects. The Sangha plans to continue promoting the motto ‘Buddhism-Nationality-Socialism’. Venerable Thich Hue Duc, chief of Hau Giang’s Buddhist Sangha for the new tenure, says ‘Since time immemorial Buddhist activities have been for the nation and its prosperity. I’m a Buddhist so I have to live in line with the Buddhist teachings’.
