(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh worked with Ben Tre province on building new rural areas and poverty reduction on Friday.

He praised the province’s economic restructuring and plans for the future. Ben Tre’s poverty rate has reduced 2% every year, much higher than the national pace. Deputy Prime Minister Ninh said: “It’s essential to ensure quality and sustainable agricultural development. We should encourage businesses to get involved in agricultural production and consumption.”

124 communes in Ben Tre have been involved in building new rural areas.
