(VOVworld)- President Truong Tan Sang today urged Dien Bien province to pay more attention to ensuring national defense and social security. At a meeting with local authorities in Dien Bien province, the President asked them to focus on strengthening solidarity by implementing policies on ethnic minority affairs and religion and fine-tuning the political system at the grassroots level. "It’s important to pay attention to people’s lives and production. We also need to strengthen the local political system. We need to set up more party cells because they are not available in 8% of local villages. Consequently, the relations between authorities and the public has not been strengthened", said Mr. Sang.
