(VOVworld) - The Belgian Embassy, the UN Women, and the Vietnam Women’s Museum co-hosted an awards ceremony for a satirical drawing contest on gender equality in Hanoi on Tuesday.
The contest, the first of its kind organized in Vietnam, opened for submissions in November, 2015. 116 entries were submitted. Painter Ly Truc Dung is a member of the Organizing Board: “This is the first time such a contest has been organized in Vietnam. The paintings are humorous but convey a meaningful message about gender equality. The contest shows that gender equality is important in a civilized society”.
The 40 best entries will be on display at the Vietnam Women’s Museum until March 10th.
