(VOVworld) - A conference on the current economic crisis – an opportunity to improve competitiveness for Vietnamese enterprises took place in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday. The event analyzed the factors that directly influence businesses and work out solutions to stabilize production and the business environment. Economists at the meeting agreed that to overcome the current difficulties, Vietnamese companies need to improve their competitiveness by expanding their capital sources, and increase investment in personnel training and new technologies. Pham Ngoc Hung, the Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City’s Union of Business Associations, said that domestic enterprises should also ask the government to outline more macro policies. Hung added ‘The conference aims to help companies search for new outlets. The current crisis has created both risks and advantages. Therefore, it’s important for Vietnamese enterprises to use this opportunity to draw up their development strategies.’
