(VOVworld) - Egypt's final constitution draft will be voted on by the Constituent Assembly in mid November. Assembly head Hossam El-Gheriany said that after the assembly approves the final draft, it will be voted on in a national referendum. The final draft was released last week to collect citizens’ opinions.

Egypt's Supreme Constitutional Court (SCC) has rejected all constitutional articles concerning its powers and said that these articles constitute interference in the court’s activities. SCC head Judge, Maher El-Beheiri, said the court will continue protesting until all draft articles related to judiciary independence are amended.
Meanwhile, Egypt's Supreme Administrative Court intends to consider legal challenges to the constitutionality of the Constituent Assembly and constitution-drafting body. The SCC ruled in June that the law regulating last year's parliamentary elections was unconstitutional. This means the Lower House of Egypt’s parliament and the Constituent Assembly members are illegitimate.
