Arab League's envoy for Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi

Arab League Secretary General Nabil El-Arabi held talks on Sunday with the Joint UN-Arab Special Representative for Syria Lakhdar Brahimi, who is currently visiting Cairo, on the latest developments of the Syrian crisis and the possible efforts to resolve it. Brahimi briefed El-Arabi on results of his recent visits to a number of Arab and foreign countries in order to push the process of finding a solution for the Syrian crisis. The Arab League has recently welcomed the proposal made by the President of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces, Ahmad Moaz Al-Khatib, on the preparation of opening a dialogue with the Syrian government's representatives to agree on transitional arrangements.
