Election campaigns adhere to COVID-19 safety measures
(VOVWORLD) - The National Election Council issued a document on Tuesday guiding the organization of election campaigns under the grip of the COVID-19 pandemic. Vietnam will hold the election for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels on May 23.

Local affiliates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front were asked to limit the number of meetings between voters and candidates, thus ensuring candidates’ right to run their election campaigns and strict observance of COVID-19 precautions.
The National Election Council urged for adherence to COVID-19 safety measures at border localities and those at high risk or having community infections.
It suggested election campaigns be held on mass media channels. Action plans and biographies of candidates can reach the public via the radio, television, print and online newspapers, and web pages of election bodies.
