EU strengthens security measures
(VOVworld)- Measures to strengthen security was one of the main topics of the 2-day meeting between EU Ministers of Justice and Ministers of Interior in Luxembourg.

Topics of discussion included data system protection, anti-counterfeit money, and freedom of travel. The Ministers of Justice also discussed the main points of the bloc’s regulations on data system protection, an EU one-door principle. The ministers also approved a deal with the European Council (EC) to protect the euro and other currencies against from counterfeiting and improve the European monetary union through intergovernmental collaboration. At the meeting, the European Council also suggested establishing a European procuracy institute and reforming Eurojust.
