Flood triggered by Trami storm submerges 15,000 homes in Quang Binh
(VOVWORLD) - More than 15,000 homes in Le Thuy, Quang Ninh, and Dong Hoi districts, Quang Binh province, were submerged on Monday as floodwater rose and heavy rain continued.

According to a report from Quang Binh province, as of 6 a.m. on Monday, rainfall in some areas exceeded 500mm. The heavy downpour caused rivers to rise rapidly, flooding over 15,000 homes across the province.
Le Thuy District has been the hardest hit, with 10,636 homes flooded. In Quang Ninh District, more than 4,000 homes are underwater, while Dong Hoi City has seen 370 homes severely affected. Additionally, the floodwaters have submerged 374 hectares of crops and damaged 100 hectares of fish farms and rice fields in Le Thuy.
Heavy rain Sunday night caused flooding on several sections of the North-South railway line passing through Le Thuy District in Quang Binh province and Vinh Linh District in Quang Tri province. Trains were stranded at Dong Hoi and Dong Ha stations and passengers were transferred by bus.
