Foreign Minister receives former Australian diplomat
(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh praised Australia’s ODA to Vietnam over the years, Minh received in Hanoi on Thursday former Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer who is in Vietnam for the “APEC in the 21st Century’s Asia-Pacific Conference.
Minh called Downer’s visit a contribution to the conference’s success and a highlight of the 40th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.
He also praised Downer’s contribution to the relationship when he was in office from 1996 to 2000. Minh expressed his delight that the current Australian government has continued to develop relations with Vietnam.
