The annual ritual on the 3rd day of the lunar year presents farmers’ desire for a bumper crop.

Vietnam earned more than 40 billion USD from farm produce exports last year.

“Global food trade is estimated at more than 2 trillion USD. Our agricultural export revenue mainly comes from raw products. For example, we earn around 3.5 billion USD from coffee exports per year but processed products account for only 11%. There is plenty of room for export growth,” said Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong.
