Mr. Phuc was speaking at the inauguration ceremony on Saturday: “The modern highway and bridge have received a great deal of investment from investors, people, and administration. Our next important task is to make this investment efficient. There should be a lot of passengers and goods to be transported through this highway. It depends on the booming economy and tourism of Quang Ninh province and Hai Phong city in the near future. I call on authorities of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong to continue reform the method of investment attraction and investment environment so that the region will become a leading hub of tourism, manufacturing, and innovation of Vietnam.”

The Ha Long-Hai Phong highway is the first project invested by the provincial budget and public private partnership. It will shorten the distance from Ha Long to Ha Noi from 180km to 130km and from Ha Long to Hai Phong from 75km to 25km. Bach Dang cable-stayed bridge is designed by a Vietnamese and has become a symbol of Vietnam’s new bridge and road techniques.
