(VOVworld) – The 5^th session of Hanoi People’s Council opened on Tuesday. Speaking at the event, NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung praised the city for fulfilling its tasks and socio-economic development goals.

He said that national defence and security will also make a great contribution to the city’s successfully reaching its targets in 2012. Mr. Hung asked Hanoi to continue focusing on restructuring its local economy and introduce a series of measures to resolve any obstacles to businesses and difficulties in the market. He said Hanoi should be a vanguard in enhancing the efficiency of People’s Council and its sessions. He also urged the city’s people’s council to hold more regular better quality Q&A sessions as a way of supervising the state’s apparatus.
