(VOVworld) - As many as 242 athletes from 10 countries and territories in Asia will compete in the fifth Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championships, which is scheduled for December 11-13 in Ho Chi Minh City. The gymnasts, coming from Australia, China, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Iran, Japan, Mongolia, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Thailand and Vietnam, are divided into three age groups of ages.

According to Nguyen Kim Lan, Vice Chairwoman and General Secretary of the Vietnam Gymnastics Federation, the tournament creates a chance for Vietnamese athletes to increase their international competing experience when confronting strong competitors from China, Japan and the RoK. With nearly 60 outstanding gymnasts, Vietnam hopes to achieve remarkable things at the event.
