HCMC street children’s paintings showcased in France

(VOVworld) – An exhibition of oil and water-color paintings made by street children opened yesterday in France to raise money for disadvantaged children at Ho Chi Minh City’s “Green Bamboo” shelter. The exhibition, held by Ho Chi Minh City (District 1), the Arcueil Friendship and Solidarity Association, and the Vietnamese Union in France (UGVF), features pictures of people, nature, family, and school through the eyes of disadvantaged children.

Simple, lively drawings reflecting children’s pure souls are charming visitors. All the paintings came from Green Bamboo’s painting club, which is sponsored by the Arcueil Friendship and Solidarity association and the UGVF, to spark disadvantaged children’s creativity and bring them closer to art, helping to ease their heavy psychological suffering.
