(VOVworld)- Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan has said that Ho Chi Minh city gained stable growth despite several difficulties. At a meeting addressing the city’s socio-economic development, Quan said the city would strengthen measures to stabilize the market, stimulate demand and prevent price hikes. In the remaining months of the year, the city will closely follow market and export developments and assist enterprises.  Quan said:“In the remaining 4 months, we will exert every effort to fulfill the set targets. We will resolutely deal with inventory stock, strengthen this year’s plan and map out a plan for next year”.

Since the beginning of this year, retail and service revenue was valued at 340 trillion dong, up 11.8% against the same period last year. The city has collected nearly 130 trillion dong, equivalent to 54.4% of the budget estimate for this year and up 6.3% against the same period last year.
