At the unveiling ceremony on Sunday, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said although President Ho was unable to come in person to the Central Highlands, he nurtured a warm love for the ethnic people of the region throughout his lifetime. People see President Ho as their beloved father, who led them to freedom, independence, and a happy life. Party leader Trong said: “I hope the Party, administration, and people of Gia Lai province will carefully preserve President Ho Chi Minh’s statue and use it to teach younger generations about the nation’s revolutionary tradition. We’ll forever follow President Ho Chi Minh’s example to build a strong nation, a prosperous people, and a democratic, equitable and civilized society.”
