Indonesian president announces his Cabinet of 48 ministers

(VOVWORLD) -Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Sunday evening announced his Cabinet which he called "Red and White", including 48 ministers, 14 more ministers than the Cabinet of his predecessor Joko Widodo.

At least 15 ministers who served in Joko Widodo's administration are among the newly appointed, either retaining their jobs or taking on new positions.
Prabowo took office as the 8th President of Indonesia with a commitment to handle internal problems, such as corruption and making the country self-reliant in food security and energy. Indonesia aims to reach food self-sufficiency in the next five years and is aspiring to achieve energy self-sufficiency.
The new Indonesian President aims for economic growth of 8%, compared to the current 5%, within two to three years of taking office.
