Japan wants to strengthen relations with South Korea
(VOVWORLD) - Japan hopes to improve bilateral ties with South Korea, ties weak due to historical territorial tensions, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said at a Tuesday meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in in Tokyo.

The statement came one day after the two countries celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Japan-South Korea joint declaration called A New Japan-Korea Partnership towards the 21st Century.
