(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and authorities of the northern province of Lang Son on Thursday opened a seminar on the role of localities in international integration for sustainable development.

Participants were briefed on the world’s economic relationship and international integration for sustainable development including the role of localities and businesses in comprehensive economic integration. Participants suggested that, in order to boost Vietnam’s integration into the world economy, localities step up their economic restructuring, renovate growth models, enhance the competitiveness of their products and services, and apply technologies appropriate to each locality’s current situation and development plan. The seminar also pointed out the need to exploit the domestic market and strengthen links among localities in the region.
