(VOVworld) – National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung met with the newly appointed Vietnamese ambassadors and chiefs of Vietnamese agencies abroad in Hanoi on Tuesday.

He asked the diplomats to help boost Vietnam’s extensive cooperation with other countries and help the world learn more about Vietnam, its land, people and culture. He also asked the Vietnamese diplomatic agencies to protect and care more for overseas Vietnamese and pay more attention to the teaching of Vietnamese to them.

He also hoped that the diplomats would help to lobby for support from other countries’ parliaments for Vietnam’s hosting of the 32^nd General Assembly of the Inter-parliamentary Union in Hanoi next year.

The diplomats pledged their utmost to boost diplomatic and parliamentary relations between Vietnam and other countries, contributing to Vietnam’s construction and defense.
