NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung meets voters in Ha Tinh province

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung met with voters in the central province of Ha Tinh yesterday and today to hear their opinions on universal education and vocational training. Some voters, who are teachers in Duc Tho district, put forward a range of ideas to solve shortcomings in the country’s educational sector and the locality in particular.

After listening to the voters, the NA leader said that education and training are a priority for the Party and State, as well as a national policy for national construction and development. After thanking the voters for their frank opinions, Chairman Hung stated that the NA will consider and assess the issues and gradually introduce measures to improve the educational system. When meeting with teachers at the Ha Tinh Vocational Training School in Ha Tinh city, the Chairman stressed that during this new stage of development, Vietnam has a great demand for human resources. Therefore, the priority for the educational sector now, is to train up human resources to meet the country’s long-term development requirements. The NA leader asked the province to expand training models, diversify teaching methods and upgrade curricula  to avoid ineffective training. The Ha Tinh voters suggested that the State introduces specific policies, so businesses can invest in vocational training and ensure sufficient vocational training facilities.
