NA Q&A session ends

(VOVworld) – On Wednesday, the National Assembly closed its Q&A session during which NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and 6 Ministers answered deputies’ questions over the past 2 days. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung talked about legislation: "Those contributing to legislation include: National Assembly deputies, National Assembly agencies, the President, the government, the chief judge of the Supreme People’s Court, the head of the Supreme Procuracy, and other political and social organizations. As the government is in charge of law enforcement, its opinions are very practical."

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said the government is accelerating administrative reform to better serve people and businesses, and improve the national investment environment and competitiveness. He said: "The government is setting up a master plan for the next 15 years, and action plans for the next 5 years and for every year, in which national socio-economic development plans are integrated with sustainable development goals and specific priorities are set for certain periods and are appropriate for Vietnam’s development."

Prime Minister Dung said the Party and State will adopt a multidimensional approach to poverty reduction as this is one of Vietnam’s sustainable development goals.

Mr. Dung said Vietnam is doing its best to improve its friendship and cooperation in all fields with China on the basis of equality and for mutual interests and development. He added that Vietnam is determined to defend its independence, territorial integrity and national interests in accordance with the Party’s resolutions and guidelines, the national Constitution, international law, and the UN Charter.

National Assembly Deputy Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son said: "The Q&A session took place in a democratic, frank, and constructive manner. For the first time, the Q&A session was held with the full participation of government members and representatives of all sectors, who tried to address deputies’ questions."
