(VOVworld) – National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung asked the relevant agencies to make thorough preparations for the 9th session of the 13th National Assembly meeting, scheduled for this May at the closing ceremony of the 37th session of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee in Hanoi on Friday.

During the session, the Committee members discussed the Law on Information Security, the draft Law on Charges and Fees, the amended Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Proceedings, and the draft Law amending and supplementing articles of the Vietnam Maritime Code. They also debated the revised Law on the State Budget, the revised Law on the Organization of the Government, the Law on Local Government Organization, and the Law on the Election of National Assembly and People’s Council deputies.

The committee heard reports on the outcome of the IPU-132 and gave opinions on the government’s statements on the establishment of Tam Diep city in Ninh Binh province and Ky Anh town in Ha Tinh province, as well as supervision programs of the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee in 2016.

Delegates contributed their opinions to a report by the Supreme People’s Court on false accusations in criminal proceedings and compensation for people who are wrongly accused.
