(VOVworld) - The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee opened its 37th session on Monday in Hanoi under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung. The deputies will give opinions on draft revisions to the Penal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code. They will also give feedback on changes to the revised Law on the Organization of the Government, the Law on Local Government Organization, and the Law on the Election of National Assembly and People’s Council deputies.

Delegates will contribute their opinions on a report by the Supreme People’s Court revealing the specifics of false accusations in criminal proceedings and compensation for people who are wrongly accused.

A report on the outcomes of the just-concluded 132nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-132) will be released and the Committee will discuss the draft Law on Information Safety and the draft Law on Charges and Fees.
