Discussing socio-economic development, law makers said amid global uncertainty, natural disasters, storms and floods severely affecting the northern provinces, with the efforts of the entire political system, Vietnam still achieved impressive results in socio-economic development by completing 14 out of 15 targets and ranked among in the high growth group.
Deputy Tran Quang Minh representing Quang Binh province stressed the need to practice thrift and fight waste. He said "The National Assembly recently discussed practicing thrift and combating waste. I think this is a very correct policy. However, it’s necessary to oversee how this policy has been implemented. I suggest there should now be a general review, first of all of the two areas of public investment and private investment and then public asset management. Additional attention should be paid to this issue.”
