(VOVWorld) – The National Assembly’s Ethnicities Commission has held a meeting to gather comments on draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution. Former deputy head of the commission, Lu Van Que comments: “The Constitution should make clear that Vietnam is a multi ethnic nation while national unity is a long term and strategic issue. This will create consensus in the Party and the people and ensure correct awareness on the issue. Reconciliation and national unity between ethnic groups and religions are the key to long term development and stability.”
