National Assembly debates revised Law on Residence

(VOVworld) – National Assembly deputies on Thursday listened to reports on the revised Law on Residence, the National Assembly’s Program on Building Laws and Ordinances in 2014, and revising the Program on Building Laws and Ordinances in 2013.

The revised Law on Residence amends regulations on banned behaviors, conditions for registering for residence in central cities, changing one’s permanent residence, and registering for a temporary stay. The Ministry of Public Security said the revised law ensures the legitimate rights and interests of individuals and organizations, consolidates State governance, and maintains national security and social order.

The National Assembly’s Standing Committee said the Program on Building Laws and Ordinances for 2014 will cover 36 draft laws and one draft resolution of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee.

In the morning session, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung read a report on the dismissal of Finance Minister Vuong Dinh Hue. In the afternoon, the National Assembly will discuss the dismissal of Minister Hue.
