The Overseas Vietnamese have paid special attention to teaching the native language to other children. Dau Van Khanh is an example. Since 2002, he opened the Apibanbanxa School which teaches English, Lao, Thai, and Vietnamese languages as he “wants to teach the Vietnamese as a main language to descendants of the third and fourth generations. The school has classes for kindergarten, primary, and secondary levels. Even the parents and governor of Nakhon province attend this school.

Established in late 2009, the first Vietnamese language teaching facility in Noong Khai has lived up to the expectations of about 400 Vietnamese households. Mai Van Chinh, a Vietnamese there, said “the establishment of such a school aims to preserve the traditional customs and teach young Vietnamese not to forget their origins.

Born in Khon Ken, Vu Anh Tuyet has been educated with Vietnamese etiquette. Working for the Thailand – Vietnam Culture Association, Tuyet is proud of bringing the Vietnamese culture to Thai people. She has recently helped a crew of film makers to cover the life of successful overseas Vietnamese in Thailand “to introduce how overseas Vietnamese live in Thailand so that local people love and help them.
