Chairman Man emphasized that over the past nearly 60 years, ASEAN has transformed Southeast Asia into a region of peace, prosperity, and stability, and a beacon of growth and global integration.
He underlined the need to review the implementation of master plans and cooperation strategies while promoting harmonious, sustainable, and inclusive development, leaving no one behind.
Priority should be given to sub-regional cooperation and narrowing development gaps. It is necessary for AIPA to enhance legislative cooperation, strengthen parliamentary diplomacy, and support governments more effectively with feasible solutions to achieve ASEAN's goals for increased connectivity and inclusive growth, Chairman Man said.
