(VOVworld) – Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has praised the achievements gained by The People newspaper over the past year, highlighting its special role during the country’s revolutionary cause. Trong made the remarks during a visit to the newspaper's headquarters in Hanoi on Saturday where he worked with the newpaper’s staff, reporters and editors.  

He urged the staff to do their best to make the newspaper more attractive to readers. He expressed his belief that the newspaper will continue to play a vanguard role in disseminating the party’s ideology and policies in all social strata.
