(VOVworld) – Vietnam targets 5% reduction of poor ethnic households in the North West, Central Highlands, South West, Central Coast, and former revolutionary base areas. The goal is part of the ethnic work strategy until 2020 recently approved by the Prime Minister. Under the strategy, Vietnam will quadruple the per capita income of ethnic groups, resolve the shortage of land and water for production, and boost high-value products for domestic consumption and export.
