(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung left Hanoi on Saturday for the 21^st ASEAN Summit in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. During his stay, the Prime Minister will participate the 21^st ASEAN summit, ASEAN+3, ASEAN+1 summits, East Asia Summit and other related events. The 21^st ASEAN Summit will focus on the establishment of the ASEAN Community, promoting solidarity and the bloc’s central role in ensuring peace, stability, security and cooperation in the region and expanding relations with other partners.

With a motto of being active and responsible, the Vietnamese delegation will join other ASEAN members to contribute to the success of the summit and promoting Vietnam’s role and cooperation with other countries. ASEAN leaders are expected to sign the Phnom Penh Declaration, approve the ASEAN Human Right Declaration, a statement on setting up an ASEAN Regional Mine Action Centre and the plan to implement Bali Declaration III.
