Former PM Goh Chok Tong suggested the two countries spur cooperation in the banking sector to enable Vietnam to mobilize capital from international investment funds in Singapore for its infrastructure development. Applauding those ideas, PM Nguyen Tan Dung said Vietnam hopes to continue working with Singapore to speed up the Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations.

Earlier, Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong visited the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) in northern Bac Ninh province which is a symbol of the friendship and economic ties between the two nations.
