Mr. Phuc made the remarks during a reception in Hanoi on Friday for Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Cecilia Piccioni and Italian life insurance group Generali’s Director General Philippe Donnet.

The PM said the life insurance market in Vietnam is still small, but has great potential for development with a market of nearly 100 million people. Philippe Donnet said he was impressed by Vietnam’s growth, which is a favorable condition for the development of life insurance. According to Donnet, his group has gained certain success in almost a decade operating in Vietnam.

PM Phuc reiterated the Vietnamese government’s commitment to refining institutions and policies to facilitate foreign investors’ operation in Vietnam. He urged Donnet and Ambassador Piccioni to campaign for the Italian government’s support and adoption of the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement.
