(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the expanded BRICS summit in Kazan city in Russia next Wednesday and Thursday at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chair of the BRICS Group in 2024, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The summit is expected to discuss issues such as energy and food security, the use of national currencies in bilateral and multilateral transactions, BRICS membership expansion and new forms of cooperation.
BRICS comprises Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the UAE, Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
