President Truong Tan Sang meets HCMC voters

(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang and other National Assembly deputies met Ho Chi Minh City’s voters in district 1 and district 3 on Thursday.

The municipal voters praised the success of the 13th National Assembly and welcomed the legislative body’s plan to approve draft laws in the coming session. These include the Law on Information Approach, the revised Law on signing, joining, and implementing international norms in Vietnam, the Law on the Media, and Law on child protection, care, and education. NA deputies will offer opinions on the bill on demonstrations.

Voters spoke highly of the work of the delegates from Ho Chi Minh City’s NA deputies during the 13th NA term and said they hope meetings with voters will be diversified so that NA operations can be made more efficient.

President Sang told voters at the meeting: “Ho Chi Minh City’s people and those from district 1 have contributed a great deal of useful opinions to the 13th NA term. I hope that the city’s NA deputy delegation during the next tenure will uphold their predecessors’ achievements while local residents continue to help them fulfill their tasks.”
