President Truong Tan Sang receives Russian President’s envoy
(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang received Mikhail Ephimivitch Shvydkoi, Special representative of the Russian President in Hanoi on Friday.
Shvydkoi, who is in charge of international cultural cooperation, is currently on a visit to Vietnam. President Sang said that political trust has boosted bilateral cooperation in all areas including culture. He said that both countries should speed up the implementation of agreements reached between their senior leaders and propose new cooperative projects. He also agreed with the proposal to formulate a number of cooperative projects in the media, press and publication in the coming years.
For his part, Shvydkoi briefed President Sang on the results of his meetings with Vietnamese culture and information agencies to prepare for President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Vietnam. He said that the visit would help to further the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, particularly in cultural and humanitarian issues.
