(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang has urged the People’s security forces to make further efforts in the face of new unfolding situation. Sang was speaking at a ceremony on Monday to mark the 45^th founding anniversary of the People’s Security College 1.

He said that amidst complicated regional and global developments and the nation’s increased industrialization and modernization, Vietnam faces both advantages and challenges, posing heavy tasks for the security forces. He said: “The fulfillment of the heavy tasks entrusted by the Party, State and people, requires us to build the revolutionary police force into a more professional, elite and modernized  force with a firm political stance, is absolutely loyal to the Party and the fatherland and is also ready to sacrifice for the peace of our nation and the people’s happiness. Being a prestigious education institution in the Police sector, the People’s Security College 1 assumes a great honor and responsibility being engaged in this heavy and noble mission”.

President Sang urged the college to continue reforming its teaching methods, combine theory and practice and pay attention to ideological education.

On this occasion, the People’s Security College 1 was awarded the Military Exploit Order.
