(VOVworld) – A Vietnamese high-raking delegation led by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will attend the 22^nd ASEAN summit to be held in Brunei from April 24 to 25. Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Quang Vinh made the statement during a media briefing in Hanoi on Thursday. He said the first ASEAN summit in 2013 will be entitled: “ASEAN – Our People, Our Future Together”. High on the agenda will be 4 major topics: Orientations and priorities of ASEAN in 2013; orientations from now till 2015 and after; accelerating the building of the ASEAN community; upholding ASEAN’s key role in the region’s major issues and in regional structure, which is taking shape. Deputy Foreign Minister Minh said that ASEAN has proved to be an important factor for peace, security and stability in region and that dialogue partners support the group’s central role in forums and in the regional cooperative framework.
