Activities included a Chung cake wrapping competition, folk games, a singing competition, a cultural exchange, and football matches. 500 gifts were given to young workers in difficult circumstances.

The Dong Nai provincial Labor Federation organized a meeting on Sunday for families of public employees and workers who have not been able to return home to celebrate Tet for several years. 1,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances attended the event. Families received cash, Tet gifts, chung cakes, and other Tet specialties.

The HCM city Labor Confederation and the municipal Industrial and Export Processing Zones Trade Union arranged a train to transport 500 workers back to their hometowns in Central and North Central provinces for Tet.

“This year, we increased the number of beneficiaries because we know it’s hard for many working families. A reduced volume of orders has had a significant impact on their income. We have also organized activities for workers remaining at the boarding houses. This year we have accommodated 30,000 workers and provided them support and a variety of Tet activities," said Nguyen Thai Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Trade Union.
