(VOVworld) – The Korean Consulate General in HCM city marked the 4346^th anniversary of the Republic of Korea’s Independence Day on Thursday. Consul General Oh Jae-Hack said that relations between the two countries have progressed in all areas and were elevated to the level of strategic partnership 20 years ago.

Vice Chair of the Municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hong said that bilateral relations have developed steadily over the last 20 years and political relations have laid a firm foundation for economic and trade cooperation. The Republic of Korea is currently Vietnam’s leading economic partner, said Hong, expressing her hope that cooperation between HCM city and the Republic of Korea will continue to thrive.
