Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong visits Hanoi scenic spots
(VOVworld) – Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Thursday visited the Military Museum, Thang Long royal citadel, the Temple of Literature, and some scenic spots in Hanoi. The same day, he will meet with National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung held talks and issued a joint-statement to establish the Vietnam-Singapore Strategic Partnership. The two countries agree to boost cooperation in all areas. The joint-statement affirms that the two sides will consolidate bilateral partnership and work with other countries to contribute to regional peace, stability, prosperity, and cooperation and deal with new global challenges. Vietnam and Singapore pledge to respect the UN Charter and international law including the principles of independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs. The two sides are determined to cooperate toward an ASEAN community, implement ASEAN targets by 2015, and ensure long-lasting peace and prosperity in the region.
Within the framework of Prime Minister Lee’s visit to Vietnam, the Singaporean and Vietnamese armies co-host a performance in Hanoi on Wednesday.
