(VOVworld) - Khanh Hoa province has announced it will send 6 monks to Truong Sa, Spratly Archipelago to practice Buddhism. The monks have been appointed to be in charge of temples on the islands of Truong Sa Lon, Song Tu Tay, and Sinh Ton. Bui Huu Thanh - Head of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs - says 'Vietnam respects people’s religious freedom. Although there are Buddhist followers and temples in the archipelago, they need monks to guide them. The Government will facilitate their practice of Buddhism there'.
