Traditional day of Technical General Department celebrated

President Truong Tan Sang made the statement on Wednesday at the 40th founding anniversary of the Technical General Department of the Defense Ministry. President Truong Tan Sang said the force has taken responsibility for defending the Party and the socialist regime.

The state leader asked the Technical General Department and the entire army to fulfill the role of special counselor to the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and the Defense Ministry. He called for better personnel training to create qualified technicians with both professional and political knowledge. Research and military technical capacity should also be enhanced, he said.
