UK PM reschedules Brexit vote for mid-Jan
(VOVWORLD) - British Prime Minister Theresa May said Monday that she is re-scheduling a delayed vote in parliament on her Brexit plan for the week of January 14.
May is trying to quell a rebellion in her party and Cabinet over Brexit and hold off Labour MPs who are trying to boot her out of office.
May’s spokesperson said the PM is preparing a Brexit scenario in the event that there is no deal between the UK and the EU. Her Cabinet discussed a “no-deal” plan at its weekly meeting on Tuesday.
