UK to expand travel restrictions
(VOVWORLD) - London will re-impose compulsory quarantines on travelers returning to the UK as COVID-19 infections continue to spike in Europe, the British government said Sunday.
The government had previously announced a 14-day quarantine on visitors from Spain, starting midnight Saturday. The decision came following a spike in coronavirus cases in Spain, where 900 new cases were reported on Friday.
The German and French governments are considering the same quarantine requirement on travelers from Spain.
