According to Biden, the package will include a Patriot air defense battery, other means of air defense, and interceptors, drones, long-range and air-to-ground missiles, as well as funds for strengthening Ukraine’sdefense and industrial base.

This is the 21st package under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative. The US also approved the introduction of new sanctions against Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented a plan to end the current conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

Biden is scheduled to convene a Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in Germany next month.
