President Barack Obama has ended the working visit in Myanmar which is part of the Southeast Asia official visit on Monday. This is a historic visit of President Obama, taking place in the context of warming bilateral relationship US- Myanmar after the US easing of sanction to response to Myanmar’s ongoing reform. At the meeting, President Obama and Myanmar President U Thein Sein exchanged ideas about bilateral relationship and reform process in Myanmar. Myanmar President affirmed that Myanmar is ready to collaborate with US based on mutual respect, and understanding. President Obama acknowledged the Myanmar authorities’ reform measures, praised the Myanmar’s commitments in solving some issues, including non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.
